Summer has come an Virginia is going sailing. Virginia is visiting Boothbay Harbor for Windjammer Days as the newest (and smallest) of the tall ships.
Virginia arrives at the Boothbay Harbor public landing the afternoon of Monday June 26, and will stay until the morning of Thursday June 29 when she sails to a brief stop a the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club. She returns home to Bath on Friday June 30 in time for the start of Bath Heritage Days.
Virginia's future trips
Virginia will be back at her home at the Bath Freight Shed, and right in the center of the action, for Bath Heritage Days June 30 – July 4 2023. We anticipate arriving back in Bath on Friday afternoon as the first act in Bath Heritage Days. The Jane Stevens Visitor Center will be open all of the days of Bath Heritage Days from 10-3pm.
Vriginia will be travelling to Colonial Pemaquid on July 14-16. She will be joined by the shallop Jane Stevens on our second annual Great Row from Bath the Pemaquid.
Virginia will be returning to the home of the original Virginia on August 18 for Flare Night at Popham Village.

Russ Bolt
Virginia sailed to Boothbay Harbor on a cloudy and rainy day and arrived with her coastal rigging fully set. After an hour waiting for a landing spot, got into her home for a few days. This was the first trip that Virginia was fully rigged and able to have sails set for most of the trip. It was an opportunity for our volunteer crew to practice setting and dousing the sails.
If you are in Boothbay Harbor for Windjammer Days, come over and see Virginia at the Public Landing.
