Member and Volunteers of Maine’s FirsţShip, please invite your friends and family to our two events to thank and celebrate the support of Strouts Point Wharf and its local community for keeping Virginia safe this winter. 2025 will be a year of celebration for Maine’s First Ship. We are growing our membership, piloting new ways to explore history, learning together, and having fun doing it. 

On Friday evening, April 4 from 5-8, we will meet at the South Freeport Church. The evening will feature soft drinks, wine, cocktails, and beer as well as pizza from Brickyard Hollow. The beer is donated by Mast Landing Brewing. The evening will also feature some talks about Maine’s First Ship and the building of Virginia. 

The celebration continues on Saturday morning, April 5 from 9-12 when we will be conducting on-deck tours of Virginia at the Strouts Point Wharf Company. Parking is not available within the Strouts Point Wharf Company site, but there is some parking available at the town landing.
