Chinese Hot Pot

Join us on Tuesday September 17 for the third annual hot pot dinner to celebrate the harvest full moon. The meal features food from local farmers cooked at your table. The chefs are Chris Toy and Jeff Mao, but you get to do the cooking yourself in a Chinese Hot Pot. Chris and Jeff will prepare meat and vegetable broth and dipping sauces and an array of fresh local ingredients including meat, seafood, vegetables, and noodles.

The Full Moon Dinners at the Bath Freight Shed have featured farm-to-table dining since we began them in 2013. They are a fund raiser for Maine’s First Ship, but also a chance for you to meet old friends and make new friends, while overlooking Maine’s First Ship Virginia as the moon rises over her on the Kennebec River.

The meal can be vegetarian by cooking in vegetable soup base and only cooking vegetables. However, since the hot pots are shared, we would like to know in advance who will want to eat vegetarian. Please indicate this while purchasing tickets, or send a note to mfs@mfship.org.We can accommodate other dietary restrictions with advanced notice.

$60 per person for dinner

We provide water and tea. Feel free to bring your own drinks.

You can purchase tickets online using the form below. If you have problems purchasing tickets, you can send a note to mfs@mfship.org or call the MFS office at 207-433-4242.
