The 2021 lecture series is now complete, but we have recordings of 4 of the lectures. See mfship.org/events to watch the videos. They are also available on the MFS youtube channel. We thank all of you who attended in person or on zoom, and a special thanks to our five presenters. We plan on more lectures next year in coordination with launch events.
We are raffling off a peapod. This was built in 2006 but was reconditioned by MFS in 2020. Tickets are avialable at the MFS Visitor Center, or my mail. See mfship.org/events for more details.
The Jane Stevens Visitor Center is open Wednesday to Sunday 10-2 until Labor Day, and then Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday for the rest of September. If you have not yet seen Virginia this year, it is much changed, and by next year at this time it will be in the water.
Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in Maine, including among vaccinated people, we are once again requiring that all volunteers and visitors wear a face covering when inside the visitor center or the boat shed.
The launch of Virginia is now planned for June 4, 2022. We plan a number of events around that time.
