Winter has come to the boatshed at the Bath Freight Shed. This will be the last winter for the boatshed, as it will be torn down as part of the launch of Virginia, scheduled for June 4, 2022.
The Jane Stevens Visitor Center is open Wednesday and Saturday 10-2 until May 2022. The exhibition space is limited as we are configured for the Bath Famers Market.

The Bath Farmers Market is inside the Bath Freight Shed thru April 9, 2022. It is open 9:00 to 12:00 on Saturday. The rigging is hung on the walls and on tables separating the vendors
Maine’s First Ship has hired Kirstie Truluck as our Executive Director. A lifelong educator, she is committed to the strength and sustainability of our local community. She brings over a decade of administrative leadership, an enthusiasm for all that MFS has accomplished to date, and the facilitation expertise to help the organization pull together in the service of lofty goals. She is eager to help MFS nurture its capacity to immerse the public in an exploration of the region’s early history, maritime craftsmanship, and community relationships.
