Sunday, November 4, 9am-3pm
Join a group of other interested volunteers at Maine’s First Ship’s waterfront boatshed on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 9-3 for the fifth annual Women’s Shipbuilding Day in Bath. Maine’s First Ship is building Virginia, a reconstruction of the first ship built by English colonists in 1607 at the mouth of the Kennebec.
Shipwright Rob Stevens will present an overview of Virginia before participants begin hands-on shipbuilding activities.
Free of charge. No experience required. Tools supplied.
Activities will take place in the boat shed and yard between the Bath Freight Shed and the river.
