Our 17th Century Foodways event is coming right up on Saturday and we want to take a moment to thank the local provisioners who are sourcing our ingredients. Generous donations are coming in from Bath Farmers Market regular Goranson Farm (veggies), plus Green Meadow Farm (bacon), and Light Hill Farm (eggs); Sasanoa Brewing and Sea Hag Cider are contributing luncheon beverages; and Brazen Baking is giving us bread. Plant's Seafood, here in Bath, discounted the salt cod. We have had generous individuals purchase additional ingredients and supplies for the event. All we need is YOU to come out and explore the agriculture, common foods, and preparation methods of the 1600s--and try your hand at churning butter! 9am-12:30pm stop by the Jane Stevens Visitor & Learning Center at the Bath Freight Shed, 27 Commercial Street, just down from the Bath Farmers Market, for free demos & displays and to chat with our guest chefs and living history educators.
