Join Maine’s First Ship and the Southern Maine Astronomers for an evening nautical-themed astronomical exploration.

We will explore the night sky and the same stars that guided the Popham Colonists back to England aboard Virginia in the autumn of 1608, and discuss the navigation methods used before the invention of the sextant.
